Last week, Kilkenny Greyhound Stadium hosted James Stephens GAA club for their inaugural benefit night. A jam packed stadium, with local radio station Kilkenny Community Radio attendance, witnessed high class action over the course of the 11 race card. Standout performers include winners Kapuka Warrior, Tecatito and Rural Kihei. Deadly Crusader claimed the feature race, the final of ‘The Georgie Leahy Memorial’ but proud Village men Murt and Tom Leahy would not be denied their own successes in front of their supporters as both claimed victory with talented ladies Fleadh Saraide and De Monks Dream respectively.
We are already looking forward to welcoming James Stephens back for their second iteration of racing next year
