Kilkenny is looking forward to a busy weekend. Friday’s action commences at the earlier time of 6.35pm with weigh-in from 5.30pm to 6pm. That means that official trials will run between 4.30pm and 5pm.
The scheduled sales meeting will go ahead as planned on Saturday. There is a really packed catalogue with potential buyers having plenty of unraced youngsters and smart graders to choose from. Those with a runner at the sales are remined that weigh-in for all greyhounds is between 7.30am and 8am with the opening trial set to get underway at 8.30am sharp.
MCCALMONT CUP APPROACHING FAST
Owners and trainers should take note that the €15,000 Deadly Kennels McCalmont Cup A1/ A2 525 will get underway on Friday, February 28th.
It boasts a tremendous winner’s purse of €7,000 and is likely to attract its usual wonderful entry. Entries are also invited for a one-off A1 525 and A2 525, which will be run on Friday, February 21st.
