This Friday’s action at Kilkenny will feature the quarter finals of the JAG Building Services & KGOBA A1 Derby as well as the opening round heats of the Stephen Behan Memorial A3 525.

Friday’s meeting also serves as a fundraiser for St. Lachtains GAA Club, Freshford and there will be a 4-month-old bitch pup up for auction on the night.

The bitch is kindly donated by Ned and Denis Lennon and can be reared on until 12 months. She happens to be bred in the purple as a daughter of Ballymac Kingdom and Ballymac Tam.

Tam is a full/half-sister to Bramble Fairone (English Derby finalist), Peckies Flyer (dam of Juvenile Derby winner Getup The Boy) and Ballymac Cooper (Derby finalist and Champion Open Unraced winner).

From her previous two litters, Ballymac Tam is a proven dam with 98 winners from 11 runners including Eze (Track Record Holder Oxford), Sunnyside Gurkha (5 wins from 13 starts, 26.85 Sunderland) and the exciting Luminous Lake, who won his debut recently at Shelbourne Park in a rapid 18.68.

Entries are also invited for a 12-dog sponsored A2 Stake which is set to start on Friday, September 19th and an Open 525, worth €600 to the winner, which will be run on Friday, September 26th.

The TIME Greyhound Nutrition A3 / A4 Sweepstake boasts a winner’s purse of €5,000 and will commence on Friday, October 3rd.
